Traditional Georgian Bars, often referred to as ‘Astragal Bars’ are suitable for various applications. They completely transform the look of any product by providing a traditional Georgian appearance of individual panes that can make a tremendous difference when looking for something with some authenticity and individuality.
Astragal Georgian bars are made up using the same Aluminium or Warm Edge spacer bar to create the Georgian style inside the double glazed unit.
Here at Shaws we provide Internal and External Georgian Bars. Internally fitted bars are available in 18 or 25mm, and we stock a multitude of styles ranging from single bars to curved hoops.
All of our Georgian Bars are available in a vast array of wood grain finishes and specialist colours which can be designed to suit any product. Wood grain foils are available from Black to Rosewood to White Ash all with authentic wood grain detailing.
Handcrafted in lead. Our leadwork patterns that are available include: diamond, rectangular Queen Anne as well as a variety of other designs.
