Conservation Rooflights Brighton
Roof Maker Conservation Rooflights blend traditional aesthetics with modern thermal performance, making them the ideal choice for conservation areas, listed buildings, or properties where maintaining a classic architectural look is essential
Handcrafted in our UK factory, these triple-glazed rooflights are designed for pitched roofs and provide the perfect balance of style and functionality. With the ability to replicate original Victorian cast iron skylights, our conservation rooflights help meet planning requirements while improving energy efficiency.
More Glass, Less Frame
One of the standout features of Roof Maker Conservation Rooflights is the frameless design, which allows more light to flood your space. The traditional split bars, commonly found in Victorian skylights, are structurally bonded to the glass rather than sandwiched between panes, reducing condensation and eliminating dirt accumulation.
This innovative design provides a clean, unobstructed view while preserving the traditional look of historic buildings.
Aesthetic & Performance
Roof Maker Conservation Rooflights are not only designed to preserve the aesthetics of period properties but also enhance the thermal performance of any building. The triple-glazed units, combined with high-quality aluminium split bars, significantly reduce the risk of corrosion and heat loss, ensuring your home stays warm and efficient all year round.
With the option to add custom glazing tints and remote-controlled blackout blinds, these rooflights offer modern comfort without compromising on classic design.
Available as Fixed or Hinged
Roof Maker Conservation Rooflights offer flexibility with both fixed and hinged-opening options, allowing you to customise your rooflight to meet your specific needs. The fixed version is perfect for rooms that require natural light without the need for additional ventilation. However, if you’re looking for improved airflow and ventilation, the hinged-opening version is ideal.
The hinged version can open up to 400mm, providing excellent air circulation, making it perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, or any space where ventilation is important. With remote control and automatic rain sensor options, the hinged-opening conservation rooflight ensures convenience and functionality, all while maintaining its traditional look.

Energy Performance
Energy Performance is the name given to Roofmaker’s standard glazing option. The glass offers outstanding U-values which can be as low as 0.6 W/m²k, depending on your chosen product. Energy Performance is ideal if your property is north or east-facing, as it will maximise available light and heat during the morning.
Acoustic Performance
Roofmaker’s Acoustic Performance glazing offers all of the benefits of Roofmaker’s standard glass, plus more effective insulation against outside noise caused by traffic and other factors. The improved noise reduction is achieved by using laminated panes, which are slightly thicker and spaced further apart.
Solar Performance
with G-values as low as 38%, Solar Performance glass has all the great features of roofmaker’s standard glass , plus a solar reflective coating to repel heat from the sun. Like Roofmakers standard glass, Solar Performance has low Ug-values to keep heat in. It also has low G-values to minimise solar gain. This means the glass will keep your room warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Secure Performance
Roofmaker’s Secure Performance glazing uses their standard glazing composition with laminated glass. This makes it significantly more difficult for an intruder to break through. The toughened glass is primed with a plastic interlayer, which stops it from shattering and keeps it in one piece
Ultimate Energy Performance
Ultimate Energy Performance glazing is designed with Passive House standards in mind. If you choose one of our triple glazed products, we can offer you a glass choice that meets Passive House standards, with Ug-values as low as 0.2 W/m²k (available in limited sizes).
