Many thanks for your email below of earlier today advising that Nathan and Matt will drop by this afternoon to correct the two very minor snags – I shall be in residence.

I thank you and Charlotte for arranging for my replacement windows to be installed by Nathan and
Matt during Monday 30 and yesterday, 31 March 2026.
The quality of the windows is very pleasing and the quality of the installation by Nathan and Matt is truly superb, with excellent attention to detail.

Everything was done with great care, with excellent finishing, and with the efficient clearing away of the old windows and debris to leave my flat clean & tidy.

I was very satisfied with the replacement windows supplied and installed by Shaws at my previous property in Saltdean during January 2011, 15 years ago, and I had no hesitation in entrusting Shaws with replacement of the windows at my new Eastbourne address.

A payment via SACS was made this morning for the outstanding balance (I am not a fan of on-line banking, so I always visit my bank for BAC payments, its an ‘age’ thing I’m sure!!)

Re the works: I am very satisfied with the work the boys did. Nathan and Matt I think? (They will always have a fond recall in my memory as the ‘Brothers’) .As with Ben previously (-Windows installation-), the boys arrived on time; were respectful to myself and my home whilst on site; focused on the job in hand and were complete by 11am). All three gentleman referenced are in my opinion a credit to your firm.

It is my intention to issue some feedback + analysis under separate cover over the course of the next week.

In the meantime, I would state I remain a satisfied customer and would happily recommend your services to others (as I did this morning as a matter of fact when at the bank!).

Shaws fitted a composite external door for me and the whole experience was great.
Charlotte was supportive throughout the whole process, and the fitters did a brilliant job,

Many thanks to your installation team – Robin, Dan, and Harry all did an excellent job. Their attitude and professionalism were greatly appreciated.
Regarding the maintenance work, Robin kindly attempted to fix both issues but was unable to do so. He took videos of each problem and mentioned that these would need to be sent to the manufacturer for further guidance on how to resolve them.
The two issues are as follows:
A) Sliding door noise in the living room -Robin found that the top track of the third sliding door is shaking and causing noise.
B) One of the upward-opening panes has a loose screw at the top left corner-when opened, the glass panel leans forward. Please let us know once you have feedback from the manufacturer or any proposed next steps.

Dear Charlotte and Max, I have just paid the final instalment of £xxxx.00 into Shaws account. Although I did not enjoy the long wait or the installation process I absolutely love the new windows and door. It looks exactly as I hoped it would and I hope it will make the room warmer. The plastering and building work after the installation were pain free and was done exactly as I asked. I’m not sure why the previous installation of my side window was done without problem but of course it is a much simpler design. But I have to tell you that Chris is a very hard and diligent worker and managed to come up with a solution for some of the problems that were encountered. He never left the job during the day and never seemed to stop working. If you would like any further information I am happy to discuss it with you. I hope you are still giving out the M&S vouchers!
